A LOCAL business has been saved thanks to some professional and swift firefighting.

A large fire broke out in a factory on Eagles Road in Moons Moat Industrial Estate around 8.30pm last night.

Fire crews from the town, as well as Bromsgrove, Worcester, Kings Norton, and Northfield, were all called to the scene.

It took the crews more than three hours to get the fire under control.

Talking about the incident station commander Jon Laight said crews saved the local business with some "professional and swift firefighting".

"I always enjoy working in my local hometown along with all the @HWFireRedditch crews. The commitment and hard work shown at last night's factory fire by all three crews was great to see."

One casualty was assessed by medics as a precautionary measure.
