AFTER raising £8,700 for Macmillan last year, Biggefest music festival organisers Clive and Sandra Fokes didn’t dare dream they might beat it this year.

But beat it they did.

This year’s Biggefest, a live music and family entertainment festival, raised an incredible £9,110 for Macmillan Cancer Support and £1,000 for the British Lung Foundation, bringing the grand total of fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support to a staggering £26,000.

The festival took place at the Tardebigge Pub on Hewell Lane, in September.

Sarah Diston, from Macmillan, said: “Biggefest gets bigger and better every year but it really wouldn’t happen if it wasn’t for Clive and Sandra and all their hard work, The Tardebigge pub for hosting Biggefest and for their generous sponsorship of the stage and the musicians who give their time free of charge.

"Not forgetting, all the music lovers and families who come along and the fantastic team of volunteers who also play an important part in making Biggefest such an incredible success.

"There’s a real community spirit surrounding Biggefest and the money raised makes such a difference."

She added: "The money raised by Biggefest will help save our support, so we can help people to live as fully as they can.”

Biggefest 2020 will take place on Sunday, September 13 at The Tardebigge Pub.
