Men’s Section

Stourport Men’s 1st XI 10-0 Worcester:

Stourport's men's 1st XI convincingly beat their hosts, Worcester, 10-0 at the weekend. The visitors were leading 4-0 at the break, in this Midland Division 1 match. Two of the captains and, Stourport's player of the match, Andy Cavendish's four goals came from two penalty strokes and two penalty corners. Joe Schubert also excelled with a back to back hat trick and Alex Cook in goal ensured that the visitors kept a clean sheet. Other goals included a brace by Callum Stanley, and a single goal from Chris Kendall.

Stourport Men’s 2nd XI 0-3 Bromsgrove:

Stourport 2nd’s men went down to their visitors Bromsgrove 1st's, in their West Midland’s Men's Division 4th West, at the weekend.

Stourport Men’s 3rd XI 0-2 Droitwich 1st XI:

Stourport men's 3rd XI only lost this tightly fought contest against their visitors to 'The Kingsway,' Droitwich 1st's only coming out on top towards the end of the match. Stourport were unable to take advantage of several good goal scoring opportunities from breakaways and penalty corners, in their second Division 6 South West match of the season. Despite the 2-0 reverse Stourport will be encouraged and strengthened by the return of Dave Potter and Shaun Reeves, in what was a promising performance in aside that continues to make progress, Stourport's player of the match Peter Moulam for his excellent and tackling in defence.

Stourport Men’s 5th XI 0-4 Droitwich 2nd XI:

Stourport men's 5th XI had four ex Kidderminster players and one Stourport junior making their debut for their trip to Droitwich for this Midland Division South West 9 match at the weekend. Unfortunately the visitors didn't come away with the result they would've wanted losing 4-0 to their hosts. Robin Conway, David Henderson and Jeremy Sobey, who had all round good performance, all forced saves that kept the score at 0-0, but they couldn't deny the hosts for the whole of the match.

Ladies’ Section

Stourport Ladies’ 3rd XI 1-4 Old Sils 1st XI:

Stourport ladies 3rd XI travelled to Old Sils for the wettest match of the season so far and despite a strong first half performance, Stourport went down 4-1 in this Midland Division 2 South/West match. This determined performance paid dividends with Stourport taking the lead into the half time break through youngster Bryony*. The visitors continued to play hard throughout the second half especially Stourport's player of the match Tilda Darling who showed sheer determination to keep working hard despite a nasty knock to her ankle. Stourport may have been defeated but their players never stopped working hard as they proudly represented their club.

Stourport Ladies’ 4th XI 0-3 Hampton-in-Arden 1st XI:

Stourport ladies 4th XI lost their home Midlands Women's Division 3 South West match, 3-0, to visitors Hampton-in-Arden 1st XI at the weekend. A young Stourport side showed ample determination and spirit as they took on this Hampton side, and were unlucky to go a goal down to an own goal when the ball deflected off a defenders stick into the goal from a short corner. Hampton scored again before the break and Stourport were unlucky not have scored when Kate* saw her effort stopped by a fine save by the Hampton keeper just before the break. Stourport piled on the pressure in the second half but were unable to score and despite, Stourport's player of the match, Amelia* making some excellent saves in the second half to keep the visitors out, Hampton scored near to full time whistle to make it 3-0.
