KIDDERMINSTER beer connoisseurs will be able to enjoy a range of UK and international brews at the Wetherspoons Real Ale and Cider Festival.

The Penny Black in Bull Ring, Kidderminster and George Hotel in Load Street, Bewdley are local hosts for the festival which runs from March 14 – 25 inclusive.

During the festival, beer from Greece, Italy, Australia, Canada, USA, Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland will be served – with beer and cider exclusively brewed for the festival also in-store.

Among the signature beers include ‘Old World New England IPA’ from Australia, ‘Hot Night in the City, from Italy, Talisman from Canada, and UK beers Warlord, Game of Stones, and Snails Bank Rhubarb cider.

All beers and ciders will be priced from £2.05 to £2.49 a pint.

Customers can also sample any three of the real ales or ciders in special third-of-a-pint glasses for the price of a pint, with tasting notes on the beer being available.

George Hotel manager, Richard Pugh, said: "The festival will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of UK and international beers as well as a choice of ciders.

"Many of the beers on offer have not been available in the pub beforehand and I am looking forward to serving them.

"The festival promises to be great fun and I am certain that customers will enjoy themselves."
