STEVE Burr has vowed Harriers' title chances are not over in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Leaders Mansfield are in pole position for the championship as they have a two-point lead and a game in hand.

But Burr has not given up hope of his second-placed side over coming the odds.  They take on Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground tomorrow (5.15pm ko), aiming to pick up the win which keeps the pressure on the Stags.

Mansfield face testing away games at Braintree this weekend and Hereford on Tuesday night.

“It doesn’t change anything because we have still got a chance of winning it,” commented Harriers' manager.

“Mansfield have gone top and are in a position that makes them the favourites but it is not over by a long way.

“We know what we have to do – that is to go to Wrexham and win and that will be tough for us.

“Anyone thinking it’s over… it is ridiculous… it’s like being 2-0 down at half-time in a game and saying ‘Well we’re not going out for the second half we’ve lost.

“While there’s a chance, we’ll believe we can still finish at the top because I have been around a long time to know that strange things can happen.”

Danny Pilkington is set for two to three weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, but Keith Briggs could be available despite sustaining am injured hand.

Striker Nathan Blissett has also been recalled by Harriers from his loan spell at Cambridge, where the young striker scored twice.

Wrexham are likely to be without defenders Chris Westwood and Martin Riley as well as midfielders Kevin Thornton and Dean Keates for Saturday's home game against Kidderminster.

Ex-Harriers's defender Mark Creighton has returned to light training after being out all season but is not expected to feature tomorrow.
