CHESS: Kidderminster Chess Club secretary Maurice Bissell organised a pre-season town versus country match.
Players from Kidderminster took on opponents from the outlying areas of Wyre Forest.
Tim Yates won the match for the town team, defeating John Whitehead who has made a welcome return to the club following a 20-year absence.
