A TEAM from Kidderminster’s Unique Fitness gym produced impressive performance at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Former gymnast Blythe Edgar, 15, stood out , despite only being in training for just six months.

She set a new British record on the squat of 80 kilogram, benched pressed 42.5kg and deadlifted 90kg to secure first place.

Fifteen-year-old Will Rayner, who squatted 90kg, benched 77.5kg for a new British record, and deadlifted 112.5kg for another win.

Andy Beeston won best lifter of the day after squat lifting 320kg, benching 225kg and deadlifting 240kg.

Also competing were Ben Farmer, Jordan Strank, Jordan Edgar, Lee Strank, Rob Todd, Kev Mayher, Tony Brown, Tony Rook, Ross Rook, Charlie Wilson, Charlie Cox, Danny Brighton, Steve Knight, Dom Hill, Don Coates, Luke Smith and Harry Whale.

All qualified for the British championships at Kidderminster Glades on April 12 and 13.
