JACQUI Phillips continued her remarkable form at international tournaments by defending the European Duathlon title in her age category.
The TRiKS member was first home in the 45 to 49 section, completing the five kilometre run, 20km bike ride and 2.8km run impressively.
So speedy was the Wyre Forest flyer, she was third overall out of all the age sections.
Her performance inspired team-mate Sam Anderson who bounced back from the disappointment of fourth place last year in the 25-29 age group, to this year win the silver medal.
The pair, who are also the current British and European triathlon champions, were the only female athletes from the same club to come home with medals which is a fantastic achievement.
They were also joined by Phil Hunt and Chris Morris who both made their Great Britain debut, finishing seventh and 20th respectively in their categories.
This is a fantastic start to the season for TRiKS members and Phillips and Morris will now build on this in preparation for their first ever World Duathlon Championships which will take place in Northern Spain.
