MARK Creighton says Harriers will be ready for highly motivated former boss Steve Burr in tomorrow's home clash against Chester.

The Aggborough outfit will be looking to extend their four game unbeaten run in the Vanarama Conference against the Cheshire-base outfit, who have struggled for form so far.

Leading them out will be Burr, who makes his first return to Kidderminster since his shock departure from the club in January.  Burr was a popular figure at Aggborough and his departure angered fans because of the mysterious circumstances of his exit. He is set to receive a good reception from the home crowd.

However, after the failure of his immediate replacement Andy Thorn, Burr's former assistant Gary Whild has started stamp his mark on the team.

Whild has lost just once since taking over in March.

"If Steve is going to be pumped for any game, then it is going to be Monday at our place," commented assistant boss Creighton.

"I know Steve very well, I like him, but come 3pm Monday there  will be no friendships.

"We've got a bit of everything. When Nathan Blissett is on his game he is unplayable, we've got defenders who can defend, midfielders who can play and ones who can be horrible.

"From our perspective we're delighted with the boys and we can't expect any more."

Harriers will be looking to build on a solid performance and 0-0 draw at Macclesfield on Saturday, a game they dominated in terms of possession and chances.

In contrast, Chester have lost three games and won one, suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of early season pacesetters Halifax on Saturday.

"This result shows how far we've come as a club that we were disappointed not to have all three points," said assistant manager Creighton about yesterday's stalemate at Moss Rose.

"We knew it was going to be a tough day but having seen how they were set up we felt we were better than them and should have won the game.

"We weren't at it from the start but we grew into the game.

"It was an entertaining 0-0 but the bottom line is we are still unbeaten."

Jack Byrne could come back into contention after not bring risked against Macclesfield. Whild may shuffle his pack to keep his side fresh.

Jamie Grimes played in midfield in Macclesfield. Better known as a centre back or an emergency left-back, the former Redditch United and Swansea man stood out with an industrious display.

"It took me 20 for me to find my feet but once I got the hang of it I felt quite comfortable," said the versatile Harriers player.

"We came with a game plan, we hurt them at times. Macclesfield were happy with a draw at home."
