ATHLETICS: Eight members competed in the March Hair Raiser, a six and a half mile off road race.
First home was Mark Hawkins in a time of 46 minutes and 45 seconds, followed by Paul Bradley (48:53), Ian Clough (49:20), Joanne Williams (51:41), Christine Sedman-Snith (56:17), Anita Whitehouse (56:44), Mick Hudson (57:29) and Pam Manning (1:08:53).
A week later, 12 members completed in the Lilleshall Monumental 10k race, which is mainly off road and uses tracks and paths not normally open to the public, including several testing hills, including Lilleshall Hill.
First home was Brian Currier (46:20), followed by Mark Hawkins (49:55), Bradley (50:41), Ian Clough (50:48), Niel Kirk (51:10), John Amos (53:40), Hudson (57:18), Christine Sedman-Smith (58:30); Whitehouse (58:40), Hayley Morris (1:02:06), Selina Topham (1:02:42) and Manning (1:14:31).
