JEANNIE JACKSON is the new Champion of Champions of Bewdley Pines Golf Club after winning the contest for last year's medal winners.

Jackson came out on top with Cynthia Hardeman runner-up and the champ also won the LGU Bronze competition.

The Lady Captain's Cheerio Challenge on Saturday saw Debbie Blain, Sue Hine and Charlie Ward win on a countback. In second place were Jennie Boden, Dot Clinton, Gill Godfrey and Holli Ward.

A dozen Bewdley High School students are competing in a national competition.

The pupils will play in the preliminary round of the British Heart Foundation Junior Golf Championship at Gaudet Luce Golf Club in Droitwich on May 17.
