Furnace Mill Fishery It was a busy weekend with the two-four matches for the final of Winter League and a Sunday Open for the rest.

The Winter League was on Mucky Meadow and Mill Pool with anglers changing pools for the second four-hour match.

Dave Johnson has won the league with 406 points, followed by Kev Williams (400) and Alan Gethen (399). Each pool was split into two with points allocated on the position in the section so the winner took five points with a point for last place.

Johnson won the final with a maximum 10.

Williams was second by weight (92lb 3oz) with Chris Bradney (62lb 2o) third and Gary Haywood (58lb 13oz) fourth.

The Saturday open was on Furnace Pool. Once again the winner was Neville Groves, Fosters/Top 4, with an impressive 108lb 1oz from peg 4.
