WITH only five games to be played in the season Franche are clearly the leaders at the top of Division One in the Kidderminster and District Midweek Bowling League.
They have a four points lead over their nearest rivals St Johns A and this week clearly demonstrated why they are top of the league by beating St Johns A by a convincing 43 shots.
In Division Two, SW Victoria struggled at Oldington losing to the home team by 11 shots. The home derby at Stourport was a close game with the D team gaining a victory by only six shots.
Although Little Lakes suffered a rare defeat at the hands of St Johns C but remain top of Division Three a clear three points ahead of their nearest rivals Franche C.
Franche C demonstrated their strength with a mighty 77 win over Oldington D.
Bewdley C had a good week in Division Four with a win at Kinver as did their nearest rivals Carolians who defeated Cookley C by 62 chalks.
St Ambrose RO A returned to form this week with a win Bewdley. Franche A continue their successful run in Division One of the Thursday Afternoon Midweek League with a win at Little Lakes, while nearest rivals for league leadership St Johns OB A who defeated Bewdley A on the Crowther St Green.
In Division Two, Cookley B remain unbeaten four points ahead of Franche B in the league table, both teams won their games this week Kidderminster and District Midweek Bowling League results – Division One: Wolverley B 107 vs Franche D 126; St Johns B 119 vs Bewdley A 137; Franche 141 vs St Johns A 98; St Ambrose B 132 vs Kinver B 105.
Division Two: Oldington B 119 vs SW Victoria 108; Cookley B 127 vs Oldington C 120;Stourport D 123 vs Stourport C 117.
Division Three: Franche C 150 vs Oldington D 73; Cookley D 145 vs Wolverley C 82; Kinver A 134 vs St Johns Tomk 73; St Johns C 131 vs Little Lakes 123.
Division Four: Bewdley D 107 vs St Ambrose RO A 131; Nomads 134 vs Ombersley B 102; Kinver C 124 vs Bewdley C 133; Carolians 143 vs Cookley C 81; SW Warriors 132 vs Franche Fancies 90.
