A STOUPORT nurse has made the grade in the tough sport of kickboxing after gaining her black belt.
April Hawkins spends her working life specialising in stroke neurology but in her free time has spent ten years training at UK Kickboxing Club at Wilden Village Hall.
April finished the final parts of her grade in front of all the club's students including her sons Nathan and Kieran.
To gain her black belt April sparred with Stourport UK kickboxing top students - former world silver champion and European champion Jack Baylis and Alex Limbrick, a former bronze British champion.
