Without their usual coach James Terry, and captain Amy Miller, Erin Preece on the pitch and Andy Cavendish, coaching and advising from the sideline, the squad of 16 players, dismantled their visitors Olton 8-0, in the Midland Division 1, last weekend.

After a medioca warm up, Stourport geared themselves up for the match, which they started hard, closing down each opponent, forcing them to give the ball to Stourport. The resulting strong Stourport attack, took the lead within the opening 5 minutes, from a cheeky Sophie Thompson, reverse hit straight into goal. Stourport had got the upper hand, now, and the goals started flowing, as the 16 strong squad allowed a constant supply of fresh legs. The hosts were running the match, with Thompson adding two further goals for her hat-trick, before Leanne Bennett added a sharp strike from a short corner, as all that mattered to the home side was to get the ball in the goal. Meanwhile Sophie Wood, in the Stourport goal, was relaxed in the 'D,' having made a few good saves in the first half, keeping her goals conceded title to 0. Stourport produced some lovely game play, through the middle of the pitch, as from out of nowhere Kerry Walker put the ball through the keepers legs. Stourport were stroming with three more goals, firstly from a sneaky tap in from Alice Bunting, than sensational deflection from Rachael Howells, and finally a bit of 3D hockey from Jade Marshall-Walker, to round off the victory. This victory the ladies 8th in the league.
