WITH the first half of the season now completed for most of the ladies section, the only match to take place in the ladies section last weekend was an inter club match, between the ladies 3rd XI and the ladies 4th XI.
The two sides battling for the points in this Worcestershire 1st Division match, in which the 3rd's were playing as the home team and the 4th's the away team.
The match ended in a close 2-1 victory, to the 3rds keeping, them eight points clear and unbeaten, at the top as they enter the Christmas break.
The 3rd XI goals were scored by Liz Warner, and Abbie Deller. Whilst the 4th's, fielding a number of 13-year-olds, answered back through a Louise Marshall goal. The ladies 3rd XI player of the match was Grace Frances.
The men's 1st XI had a deserved 3-2 victory, in a competitive match over Leek after coming back from 2-0 down. Stourport goals came through Dan Hurley, Tom Schubert and Liam Hennessey.
The 4th XI carried on the winning weekend for the Men's section, with a 1-0 victory over hosts Stratford. In this close fought match it was captain Dave Shepherd's goal from a short corner that was the difference between the two sides.
