How they rated:

Harriers 4, FC United 0

Hall: Wasn't that busy but collected well when required and saved well from McCarthy in the second half. 7.

Vaughan: Superb showing from the attack-minded right-back. Always a threat going forwards and his determination and work-rate were excellent throughout. Set up George Waring's debut goal too. 8.

Austin: Good bursts forward in the second half and always pushing on to support attacks. Adds really balance to the side and his ability to go either side is a big plus. 7.

Croasdale: Struggled to get the ball in key areas in the first half but much like Harriers he grew as the clash wore on. Well-timed far post run saw him bag the vital opener. 7.5.

Pearson: Slotted in well as centre back due to the suspended Fraser Horsfall missing out. Read play well to intercept on more than one occasion and kept his distribution simple. Solid. 7.

O'Connor: Defended well throughout, always keen to press and posed a threat in the opposition box from set-pieces. 7.

Weeks: Makes Harriers tick from the deep-lying midfield role. Always an option and soon found his passing range, especially in the second half. His ability to find a team-mate got his side on the front foot. 8.5.

McQuilkin: Busy as ever and made sure to get himself on the ball in tight areas. Worked hard to hassle and caught an elbow for his troubles when Corbett saw red. 7.

Ironside: FC United's high line negated his impact in the first half but he plugged in and got his reward when converting Sonupe's cross in the second half. 7.5.

Ngwatala: Again he drifted in and out of the contest. Does go missing at times but often crops up to make the difference. Neat finish to wrap up the scoring after he'd also set up the first. 7.5.

Sonupe: Harriers' main threat in the first half and looked the most likely due to his ability to run in behind. Continued to pose a threat in the second period and set up Ironside's goal. 7.5.

Wright: Late change for Weeks when Harriers had got the job done. N/A.

Taylor: Replaced Sonupe and managed a couple of good bursts down the left flank late on. 7.

Waring: A goal scoring debut from the big forward. Took just six minutes to show his heading ability when converting Vaughan's cross from the right. Looks like good competition for Joe Ironside for that lone striker role. Promising. 7.5.

Unused subs: Brown, Palmer.
