AN up-and-coming young talent from Kidderminster Victoria CC is hoping to terrorise the old enemy Australia after being selected to play for England under-16s.
Neil Pinner, 16, will take on the might of Australia's under-16s at Loughborough University between August 28 and September.
The RGS Worcester pupil is keeping a calm about taking on the Aussies.
"It's quite exciting to be playing against Australia because there's always an edge to the games between the two sides," said Neil.
"Hopefully I can score a few runs and help England win the the match."
Neil will hope to feature in all seven matches, five of which are 50-over games and two Twenty20 encounters, in what is set to be a tough test for England's rising stars.
Neil, who has played for England's under-15s, impressed the national side's selectors last week when playing for an ECB XI against the under-15s, hitting 113 runs and taking six wickets in three matches.
