How they rated: Harriers 3, Altrincham 2.
Hall: Good showing from the keeper who had to keep his concentration late on to keep Altrincham at bay. 7.
Vaughan: Got forward well, especially in the first half but had some defending to do in the second period. 6.
Austin: Worked hard down the left but could get his cross right after working his way into good areas. 6.
O’Connor: Deflected in Harrop’s free-kick in the second half but defended well against a strong Altrincham side. Won some key headers late on. 7.
Horsfall: Did well at times but lost Johnston for Altrincham’s opener. Dug in at the end though to keep the visitors out. 6.
Johnson: Solid at the back and grew in confidence as the game progressed. Had some calm touches at times and set up Bradley’s goal with a well-weighted through ball into the box. 7.
Weeks: A solid showing from the midfield playmaker who was always keen to get on the ball. His early shot led to Williams’ early opener. 7.
Daniels: A hard-working display as he came back into the side. Always shutting down the space and putting in the often-unnoticed work in the centre. Came into his own against a team who kept the ball well. 7.5.
Bradley: Another athletic showing from the attacker who was pushed higher up the pitch alongside Ash Chambers. Did well first half and finished well for his goal. 7.5.
Chambers: Linked up well with Williams and Bradley and was always keen to press from the front. Got his goal with a neat finish. 7.
Williams: Sublime display from the attacker. Carried the ball brilliantly at times and loved to drive at the Altrincham defence. Scored the first and set up the third. 8.
Subs: Richards: Added some late impetus from the bench. 6.
Ironside: Replaced Chambers as Harriers looked to hold out. Missed one late opening after being found in space by Weeks. 6.
Baxendale: Late change for Williams. N/A.
Unused subs: Digie, Palmer.
