KIDDERMISTER Carolians recorded a big win at Rugby St Andrews despite leaving points on the park due to some wayward kicking.

St Andrews opened the scoring after two minutes with a penalty near the post however the Carolians forwards quickly responded from the kick-off and after pressure on the line Dave Kane touched down for the opening try.

Arthur Morgan scored his first try after 10 minutes but a second conversion was missed and a St Andrews penalty kept them in touch with the visitors.

Man-of-the-match Arthur Morgan added another try after 23 minutes which was successfully converted. A lapse in defence and some good driving play by St Andrews led to them reducing the gap with a converted try which was quickly followed by a penalty score to bring them within one point of KCs.

Ryan Teigne settled Kidderminster nerves with a try to make the score 16-22 at half time and he added another just after teh break, again KCs failed to add the extras.

Kidderminster replacements Lee Wilkes and Matt Rigsby added the impetus to provide tries for Scott Lovell and Rhys Pritchard which was converted by Freddie Morgan.

With the score at 39-16-39 KC’S dropped their intensity and this allowed St Andrews to score a converted try with some great support play.

Simon Clarke added a try for Carolians converted by Chris Pinner while they were down to 14 men following a yellow card for a technical offence.

Good driving play by the St Andrews pack led to a converted try but Kidderminster finished the game strongly with a final unconverted try by Alex Royale to make the final score 30-51.
