MANAGER Neil MacFarlane believes Harriers already have the perfect blueprint to avoid an FA Cup upset against Stourbridge.

The Reds' boss has called on his players to mirror the professional performance they put in against Atherstone in the previous round when they go to the War Memorial Ground this Saturday.

Harriers face their Southern League Central neighbours at Amblecote (3pm kick-off) looking for revenge for the 3-0 loss they suffered when the clubs last met in the famous competition.

That saw the Glassboys progressed in place of Dave Hockaday's Harriers in 2015.

MacFarlane is expecting a tough challenge from the hosts but thinks his players need look no further than their attitude against Atherstone.

He said: "It's a game everyone is really looking forward to.

"It was important that we continued our league form last week and now we can focus on getting into the next round of the cup.

"I'm expecting a tough test. It'll be a difficult task and we'll have to make sure our attitude is right.

"We showed against Atherstone how we can perform. We started quickly and got our mentality right and got the job done. We need to do that again.

"As long as we approach it properly then hopefully we can get ourselves into the next round."

Harriers go into the game on the back of last Saturday's 3-2 success over Altrincham at Aggborough.

Goals from Ed Williams, Dan Bradley and Ash Chambers saw them pick up a narrow victory to remain second in National League North.

MacFarlane praised the way his players are pushing each other to maintain their high standards this season.

He added: "We have 16 or 17 players that are all fit and fighting to be involved. Everyone is playing a part and having an impact when called upon.

"It is then up to me to pick the right team. It was my toughest team selection against Altrincham and that is a credit to how hard everyone is working."
