KIDDERMINSTER Carolians endured a nail-biting finish to their clash with Silhillians after a dramatic fightback.

Hosts KCs seemed to be cruising to victory following a strong first half performance.

KCs started well with positive play which allowed the backs to pile on the pressure.

Centre Rhys Pritchard scored an unconverted try for Kidderminster to take the lead after 10 minutes but this was quickly reduced to 5-3 by a Silhillian's penalty.

KCs fly-half Freddie Morgan slotted a penalty on 22 minutes and Pritchard added a converted try three minutes later.

Winger Kieran James crossed the line again for the hosts from the restart and Morgan added the extras.

Sils scored an unconverted try to make the half time score 22-8.

The visitors added a converted try early in the second half and pressure began to tell on Carolians who made increasing numbers of errors and missed scoring chances.

Silhillians levelled the score on 64 minutes with a converted try and took the lead with a penalty shortly after.

A Freddie Morgan penalty drew things level but Carolians could not add more points and Silhillians looked to have secured an unlikely victory with a penalty in the 75th minute to lead 25-28.

The hosts continued to press forward and gained an advantage when Silhilians were reduced to 14 players after a red card when a previously yellow-carded player deliberately knocked down a scoring pass.

The final minutes saw the Kidderminster's forwards take increasing control and they were rewarded with a match-winning try from Arthur Morgan which was unconverted to leave the final score at 30-28.
