Worcester City (4-3-1-2).

5 Gilder – did not look confident in between the sticks as his failure to hold onto Chilton’s strike allowed Meese to net the rebound. His kicking was also erratic.

6 Keasey – was on the end of a heavy challenge in the opening minutes but picked himself and put in a committed performance on the right-hand side.

6.5 Forsyth – the stand-in skipper dealt with everything that came his way until the closing minutes when Westwood got the better of him in the box and scored the equaliser.

6 Horton – making his debut for the club the Cheltenham youth-team defender struggled to impose himself in the air but toughed it out.

7 Smith – an assured defensive display from the left-back who read Khalsa’s long balls well in testing conditions, making important clearances.

6.5 Attoumani – his sheer stature makes him a useful addition to City’s midfield as he broke up play well and assisted for Lawrence’s stunning opener.

5 Birley – looked off the pace, producing several wayward passes and lost control of the ball twice in the first few minutes of the second period.

6 Willis – did some good things but was outmuscled by Clifton in the lead up to Meese’s first-half goal and rarely got forward.

6 Birch – was neat and tidy with the ball at his feet but with City opting to thump it over the top the midfielder was unable to make a real impact.

6.5 Harrison – was caught offside on far too many occasions but the intention to make runs in behind was good and he kept plugging away.

7.5 LAWRENCE – sparked his team into life with a brilliant run and cool finish and the debutant continued to be a threat. My man of the match.

Substitutes.

6.5 Stoddart (Birch 60) – his arrival led the hosts to switch to three at the back and his aerial presence benefitted the team.

6.5 Lockett (Birley 69) – was calm and composed in midfield as he played a well-weighted through ball for Baldwin to put City in front.

7 Baldwin (Harrison 71) – did not take long to pick up a yellow card but injected energy into the team and took his goal brilliantly.
