KIDDERMINSTER judo starlet Leah Grosvenor ended 2018 with more medal joy at the GB Junior and Senior Judo Championships at the National Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
She went into December’s contest on the back of her double gold success at the Welsh Open and soon continued her fine form.
Grosvenor competed in the under-57k category and beat all her opponents by maximum point ippons using a variety of techniques including arm locks, strangles, ground holds and throws to achieve the gold medal.
It maintained her ranking as the number one British U57kg Cadet.
The following week Leah again returned to the Nationals entering the Juniors U57kg and found herself up against the top British players.
Having a few gruelling fights, she managed to gain a bronze medal and retain her number two spot in the junior U57kg rankings heading into 2019.
