A RED card and a penalty against Stourport full-back Joe Hanson saw relegation-threatened Romulus bag a big three points last Saturday.

Swifts lost 2-0 at home as they came out second best from a physical duel as Romulus battled for every ball

Chris Conway fired into the side netting early on after being put through by Martin Slevin, and Lewis Platt saw his dangerous cross deflected wide.

Romulus' best chance in the first half fell to Dimitri Dunkley, who shot wide when clean through against Richards.

Swifts best chance came when Matt Fulloway’s firm downward header shaved a post from Slevin’s free kick.

The second half saw the visitors still posing a threat, and Richards tipped over a fierce 30-yard free-kick from Harry Harris.

Joe Hanson saw red when he was judged to have impeded Dunkley in the box to give away a 66th minute penalty, which Dunkley drove hard past Richards left hand.

Minutes later Dunkley’s 20 yard effort came back off the post, and with 12 minutes left Chad Degville put through Max Loveridge who coolly slotted past Richards to give Romulus a 2-0 win and three welcome points.
