How they rated:
Harriers 4, Nuneaton 1
Hall: Made an important save in the first half but did concede from a deep corner to the far post after he’d pushed away a Nuneaton free-kick moment before. Solid afternoon overall as he collected deep balls into the box. 6.
Austin: Worked hard and always offered support going forward when the time was right. 6.
Taylor: Another who didn’t get as advanced as he has done in previous weeks but always used the ball well and carried out well when needed. 6.
Penn: Busy in the midfield engine room and was quick to snap into challenges. Managed the game well despite and early booking. 6.5.
Horsfall: Solid afternoon. Composed on the ball and defended well when Nuneaton did get forwards. 6.
Johnson: Seems to be enjoying playing under Yates and the style suits him more. Strong in the air, found team-mates when playing out. 6.5.
McAlinden: A good showing from the attacker. Always looking to deliver early balls from the left. Set up Chambers’ second with a fine low ball in. 7.5.
Daniels: Like Penn, he was quick to win the ball back for his side and seemed to enjoy being given licence to play in a more advanced role. Worked an early effort from distance and linked up well. 7.
Ironside: Held the ball up well, won good header to flick the ball on to team-mates in final third and dispatched his penalty at the start of the second half. 7.
Chambers: Burst back to goalscoring form in fine style. Took his chances well, especially the first when his well-controlled volley opened the scoring. Won the penalty for Ironside’s goal. His work-rate off the ball was just as impressive. Never gave the Borough backline a moment of peace. 9.
Williams: Came off his wing and picked up the ball in good areas. Came alive around the edge of the box and always looking to link up with Ironside. Always a threat with the ball at his feet. 7.5.
Subs:
Butterfield: Late change as Harriers saw out the final ten minutes. 6.5.
Richards: Came on for Penn but didn’t have time to make much of an impact. N/A.
Taylor-Randle: Late change for Chambers. N/A.
Unused subs: Higginson, Heaton.
