HARRIERS will look to boost their play-off hopes this weekend by banishing their recent away woes.

Kidderminster have lost the last three away games at Chorley, Brackley and Altrincham but did cut the gap to seventh-placed Telford United with Saturday's 3-0 win over Bradford Park Avenue at Aggborough.

Reds took the points thanks to a Joe Ironside double and another for strike partner Ashley Chambers.

They now have FC United of Manchester in their sights as they hit the road to begin the final four games of the campaign.

Boss Mark Yates isn't dwelling on his side's recent away form and just wants his side to keep their standards high.

He said: "We didn't win against Altrincham but I thought we played quite well and looking back to Saturday it was another good performance, especially in the first half, so we'll go to FC United looking to maintain those levels.

"There has not been one single reason we've lost away from home recently but there are just a few things we need to be mindful of.

"At Chorley we conceded early and didn't take our chances and at Brackley we only had Russ Penn as the only recognised midfielder, so there was mitigating circumstances and it was a game we should have got something from.

"We've just got to eliminate the mistakes and keep that confidence high.

"We're playing well at the moment so we'll just focus on FC United and going there and getting a positive result.

"We've changed formation to three at the back recently and I think that has helped us but we'll just keep encouraging the players and working hard on the training ground."

Midfield duo Declan Weeks and Billy Daniels will have their fitness assessed before the weekend.

The manager was also pleased to see Ironside add to his tally with another brace.

He said: "He's done well lately and has scored six or seven since I came in and has thrived on the quality that the likes of Liam McAlinden, Ed Williams, Sam Austin and Joel Taylor have been able to provide for him.

"We've got some really good strikers at the club and I saw the other day that we have players on 15, 14 and 13 goals. If they can get to 20 then it'll have been a really strong season for them."
