A TRIO of Worcestershire pace bowlers have extended their contracts with the Vitality Blast holders.

Charlie Morris, Pat Brown and Adam Finch have agreed new deals at Blackfinch New Road.

Morris, who returned career-best figures of 7-45 in the Specsavers County Championship Division Two opening win at Leicestershire, has added an additional year to his contract until the end of 2020.

Brown, the leading wicket-taker in the Vitality Blast last summer, has signed up for another year until the conclusion of the 2021 campaign.

England under 19 paceman Finch has also committed his future for another 12 months up until the end of the 2020 season.

It means eight County players have signed new deals or extended current contracts since the end of last season.

Ed Barnard (2021), Tom Fell (2021), Alex Milton (2021), Ben Twohig (2020) and Ollie Westbury (2020) committed for a further period in October.

In addition Ross Whiteley signed a new three-year contract last August with newcomers Riki Wessels and Wayne Parnell also committing for the same period to the end of 2021.

New white-ball vice-captain Brett D’Oliveira and England all-rounder Moeen Ali have four years left on their contracts and new red-ball vice-captain Ben Cox a further three years.

County CEO Matt Rawnsley said: “We are delighted that Charlie, Pat and Adam have signed contract extensions and have the bulk of our squad signed up for at least the next two years or more.

“We have strong ambitions as to where we want to go as a club in the years to come and for so many players to be signed up gives us a good platform.”
