How they rated:

Harriers 1, Leamington 2

Palmer: A mixed performance from the young stopper. Saved well from Bishop in the build up to Leamington’s first but had moments where he looked nervy. Also denied Bishop in the second half with another good stop. 6.

Austin: A bright spark in a frustrating team performance. Always willing to get forward and was often his side’s best attacking outlet. 7.5.

Taylor: Did well when getting forward down the left and showed good energy. Exposed for Leamington’s first as Jordan Murphy found space down the channel. 6.

Flowers: Lost his man for Leamington’s first and was taken off at the break as Harriers moved to a back four. 5.

Horsfall: Carried the ball out well at times but his poor back pass should have been punished. 6.

Johnson: The pick of the Kidderminster centre backs. Found Austin well with good diagonal balls and did well in the air. 6.5.

McAlinden: Hit the bar in the second half but struggled to have an impact for sustained spells. 6.

Butterfield: Too often he took an extra touch as Harriers’ build-up stalled. Had some good moments that as he broke down play and showed good energy in the centre of the park. 6.

Ironside: Put Harriers in front with a fine finish from the edge of the box. Led the line well. 7.

Chambers: Worked hard and linked up well with Ironside in the first half but drifted out of the game in the second. 6.

Williams: Another who showed flashes but couldn’t maintain his impact on the clash. 6.

Subs:

Penn: Replaced Flowers at half time. Moved the ball through midfield and added some energy. 6.

Richards: Quickly into the action and had chances to score but didn’t take them. 6.

Unused subs: Higginson, White, Heaton.
