How they rated:

Harriers 1, Guiseley 2

Palmer: Made a crucial mistake for Guiseley’s second when he let Jack Dyche’s shot through his grasp. Did recover well from that set-back to keep out sub Lewis Archer late on. 5.5.

Austin: A rare poor showing from the right wing back. A few loose touches at key moments and just seemed to drop off the pace a little. 6.

McAlinden: Did okay after being dropped in to an unfamiliar left back role. Managed to get some testing crosses in from the flank when he got forward to support attacks. 6.

Penn: Worked hard to break up play but too often looked backwards with his passing. 6.

Horsfall: Solid but never really tested by a Guiseley side that looked to manage their lead for long spells. 6.

Heaton: Won the battle in the air and positions himself well at times but was also not that tested as he visitors dropped deep early in the second half. 6.

White: Flashes of his potential out on the right flank. Near footwork and direct running were a big positive and hopefully his end product will start to show with more games. 7.

Butterfield: Worked hard in midfield and kept things simple on the ball. 6.

Ironside: Held the ball up well, linked play and fired home from the spot to register his seventh goal in eight games. 7.5.

Chambers: Another that worked hard without much joy in the final third. 6.

Williams: Always seems to find it harder to hurt teams when out wide. Did cut in from the left and saw two efforts saved in the first half after he arrived late in the box. 7.

Subs: Richards: Won the penalty for Ironside’s goal and added pace to Harriers’ attack late on. 6.

Weeks: Replaced Penn at the break and did well in the second half as he started to dictate the tempo. Found space and some neat balls forward. 7.

Unused subs: Hall, Higginson, Startford.
