AMAZING Feet Running Club member Rachel Ward was one of the club's star performers in the Bells of Pattingham run.

Ward was the third woman to complete the 7.2 mile course in a time of 53mins 25secs and also won the over-40s women's section.

She was closely followed by Helen Parrish, who was the fourth woman to finish in a time of 54-38.

The event had been delayed by 20 minutes because competitors had to walk single-file across a disinfected mat before being allowed to compete.

There was no rest for Shaw Pye, who 24 hours after racing in the Pattingham race, competed in the Bent-Clees 20 mile challenge in Ludlow.

Shaw finished the event in 2-580-05, just 43 seconds behind the winner.

David Pye also took part in this event, finishing in 4-35-00.

Richard Baker, who also ran in the Ludlow event, also felt the strain as he competed in two events over the weekend.

In the Worcestershire Beacon Race on Saturday, Baker took on a seven-mile course over the Malvern Hills, finishing 240th out 285 competitors in 74-55, while club mates Philip Weber (35th, 53-19), Pete Wall (183rd, 67-15) and Gordon Sims (242nd, 74-59) also completed the course.

David Whymant came second in the M60 section of the Leicester marathon, finishing 86th overall out of 570 runners in 13-17-01, while Craig Lewis and Sarah Lewis set personal best times in the Jersey marathon. The duo both finished in 4-18-12.
