Worcester CC won the toss and put Chaddesley Corbett into bat after a delayed start meant the overs were reduced to 43 per side.

In-form opening bowler Clark Knapton removed both opening batsmen, showing some guile dismissing one of the openers the delivery after being hit straight back over his head for a six.

This brought Waqas Ahmed to the crease who showcased his talent and sped to an excellent 50.

A much needed confidence boost for Waqas who maintains his high conversion rate scoring the 104 in 99 balls.

He was helped along the way with batting partner Bilal Hassan who played some stupendous strokes.

The Chaddesley batsmen put Worcester's bowlers to the sword and declared after 40 overs on 249 runs.

After the tea break, Bilal Hassan made the immediate break through nicking off Henry Lewis for two runs.

Waqar Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers finishing with figures of 10-17-5, picking up nine wickets in the last two games.

Some excellent catching produced a collapse in the Worcester innings, finishing on 117 all out in 25 overs .

Chaddesley remain in pursuit of the league title with only Stourbridge above them in the table.
