EVESHAM United threw away a two-goal lead in the last nine minutes as they lost 3-2 at Larkhall Athletic in Southern League Division One South last night.

The Robins will be looking for their first win of the season in Sunday's FA Cup preliminary round tie with Harefield United at the Jubilee Stadium (2pm).

Former Kidderminster Harriers and Hereford FC midfielder Mike McGrath hammered home Brian Smikle's cross for his first Evesham goal on 24 minutes.

And the Robins, who drew 1-1 with Paulton Rovers in their league opener on Saturday, continued to impress with another summer signing Dave Reynolds doubling the lead in the second period.

But Dale Evans brought the Bath hosts back into the game on 81 minutes and a direct free-kick from the same player soon after levelled matters.

Brad Norris completed the turnaround with Larkhall's winner two minutes from time past keeper Lochie Robertson who has joined on a short-term loan from Bristol City.

Regular number one Reece Francis is unavailable for a spell due to a holiday.

Evesham: Robertson, Roberts, Smikle, Paddock, Maslen-Jones, McGrath, Dodd, Bragoli, Chilton, Sangha, Page. Subs: Till, O'Neill, Cresswell, Magee.
