KIDDERMINSTER Carolians RFC's second string got a run out in a 29-10 friendly victory over Evesham at Marlpool Lane on Saturday.

Head coach Dave Irish took a look at some of the team's young players and new faces.

The hosts opened the scoring in the second minute, when Winger Eddie Ross made a strong run and fed full-back Andy McLellan, who hacked the ball forward and followed up to touch down.

McLellan grabbed their second try under the posts, after good work by scrum-half Ben Stirling to make it 15-5.

The visitors pulled a try back just before half-time, but KCs responded when Chris Jones grabbed a touch down that McLellan converted.
