After some really positive fixtures in the build-up to the new league season, Stourport Men's 1st XI looked to continue their momentum as their pre-season schedule of friendlies finished with a 12-1 victory over Harborne 2nd's.

After a slow start to the match, Stourport took the lead when an early penalty stroke was won and was dispatched by Simon Claris.

Joe Schubert and Josh Appleby added a second and third shortly afterward. Following a pass from the corner by Andy Cavendish, Schubert scored his second, before, Claris scored his brace, with a drag flick, between a brace for Adam Leeke, before Claris made it 8-0 with his hat trick goal.

Before half time Stourport had added two more goals through Leo* and Callum Stanley fired the ball into the top corner, from a Schubert pass, to make it 10-0. Harborne pulled a goal back before Chris Kendall marked his arrival at halftime with late goals to take the final score to 12.

In an end-to-end match, Stourport ladies' 4th XI came back from two goals to ensure a 2-2 draw with their visitors Wyre Forest ladies.

In a competitive friendly Stourport had been on the back foot, to begin with finding themselves two goals down at the break. But the home side steadied themselves scoring twice in the second half to finish the match 2-2.
