Bournville pressured the Stourport defence from the off in the second half, but, Stourport weathered the storm and as the half progressed began to push forward themselves.

Stourport ladies' 2nd XI had a frustrating 0-3 home defeat in their Midlands Primer league match, against second-in-the-table Matlock Baileans.

Matlock got off to a quick start putting some early pressure onto the Stourport defence. Stourport's quick passing and good communication kept Matlock at bay for most of the first half who managed a single goal before the break. Stourport began the second half on the attack but were unable to capitalise on several goal-scoring opportunities. Matlock surged forward with only some excellent saves by Stourport's player of the match, keeper Sophie Wood, keeping them at bay.
