DEFENDING champions Cleobury Mortimer CC rose to fourth in Division Five by beating bottom side Evesham by 190 runs on Saturday.
Captain Ollie Rowland lost the toss and Cleobury were put into bat, but James Manley's 79 steadied the ship, before a late onslaught from Rowland (49) guided Cleobury to 255-7.
Opening bowlers James Manley (4-21) and Ben Griffiths (2-28) both took early wickets, putting Cleobury firmly in the driving seat.
Veteran John Griffiths showed his experience with two wickets for just five runs, with Jake Williams taking 2-10 as Evesham were bowled out for 65.
The second team lost to Chaddesley Corbett's seconds in Division Eight.
