Stourport men's1st XI continued their unbeaten run in the Midlands 1st Division with a 4-2 victory against their visitors Rugby and East Warwick.

It was the visitors who began the stronger when they scored early on before Stourport drew level through a Dan Hurley rocket into the top corner.

Stourport added a second shortly afterward through a trademark Simon Claris penalty corner. Stourport continued the scoring in the second half through an Adam Leeke tap-in after a flowing passing move.

The visitors dragged a goal back before a Joe Schubert deflection from a penalty corner routine rounded off the victory.  

The men's 5th XI will need a herculean to stay in the South West 8 league Division after they were defeated 4-5 by their visitors Kingswinford 3rd XI, in this must win the match for the Worcestershire side.  

Stourport was depleted in defence when in the opening two minutes Mike Kirby Davis suffered a head injury. Stourport was 3-2 ahead at the break through a goal by Rob Nicholls in the fifth-minute goals, followed by two goals in five minutes for David Henderson in the fifteenth and twentieth minutes.

Kingswinford fought back despite some superb saves from Stourport's keeper and player of the match Ian Murphy, Stourport did score again in the fifty-fifth minute but wasn't it enough to stop their visitors from taking the three points.

Stourport ladies 1st XI return to the top of the Vitality North Division 1 after a hard-fought 2-0 victory over their visitors Ben Rhydding. Stourport started quickly scoring their opener after two minutes when midfielder Alice Atkinson hit the ball strongly into the bottom corner after finding herself free at the top of the 'D'.  

Stourport continued to create chances throughout the half, but their poor finishing kept the score at 1-0 at the half-time break.

Ben Rhydding came out strongly in the second half but despite winning two short corners they were unable to trouble the Stourport keeper. 

Stourport extended their lead in the first fifteen minutes of the second half with Atkinson adding her second with a close-range effort.

Despite having the same points Stourport is on top of the league ahead of Bowden on goal difference with three matches to play in a season that looks like it will be decided on the last match. This coming weekend Gloucester in their last home match of the season.
