With only needing a draw to gain promotion to the National League, from their final match of the season, Stourport men's 1st in the Midlands Primer Division, secured a 5-5 draw when they travelled to second-placed Khalsa Leamington 1st's.

Despite taking the lead through a well-taken Rob Nicholls goal in the fifteenth minute, the men's 5th XI went down 2-7 when they entertained Kingswinford 3rds in the South West 8 league Division.

Stourport were 1-2 down at the break and fell further behind in the second half despite some superb saves by their player of the match Wayne Berry, in the Stourport goal.

Stourport did manage to pull another goal back, through Dylan Turner in the fifty-fifth minute but it was too late to affect the final outcome of the match.

With promotion as runners-up, the reward for in this South West 4 Division matches the men's 6th XI, visited a strengthened Redditch 3rd XI losing 2-3 to their hosts.

Stourport began brightly creating several early chances kept out only by the busy home keeper. Despite these early chances, it was the hosts that took the lead after twenty minutes with a well-worked team goal, and some indifferent defending allowed Redditch to add a second before the break.

The more experienced Stourport took control in the second half with some dominant play from the evergreen Robin Conway and a strong performance from Stourport's player of the match Allan Moss making the difference in the spine of the defence.

Stourport found themselves three behind when against the run of play Redditch scored a third. Unlike other teams, Stourport didn't capitulate and with the experienced Tom White and Dave Bedford always a threat Stourport pulled two goals back.

Stourport continued to press through White and Bedford both coming close, with Redditch hanging on for a much-welcomed final whistle.

Unlike the men's 1st XI Stourport ladies 1st XI were unable to gain promotion from Vitality North Conference Division 1 after their last match of the season ended with a 1-1 draw with their hosts Leicester.

The match was a hard-fought affair with Leicester taking the lead in the first half, following a short corner routine.

Stourport needing a win to have a chance of winning the league pressed hard for the equaliser which should have arrived just after the break when they were awarded a penalty stroke only for it to be well saved by the Leicester keeper.

Stourport equalised with nine minutes to go with a well-taken goal by Lucy Walton, removing their keeper from the action, the visitors pressed the Leicester goal in search of the winner, only to see the ball cleared twice off the goal line. For all of their possession, Stourport was unable to find a winning goal.

On Sunday (April 2) Stourport men's 6th XI travelled for their second fixture in two days comprehensively beat their hosts Sutton Coalfield 8th XI 7-0 in this rearranged South West 4 Division match, which had previously been postponed due to the weather.

Stourport proved far too strong for their hosts and finished third on goal difference in the Midlands League South West.
