Stourport Hockey Club's men's 4th XI came away with a 4-1 victory when they entertained Worcester's 3rds in the Midlands Men's Division 7 South West.

This match gave the Stourport youngsters a chance to show what they could do, and this was reflected by the fact that all four goals were scored by youngsters.

The best of which was when the ball first being moved with pace between the Stourport defence and mid-field, as we moved across the halfway line, Jacob picked up the ball, then released Noah who after 10 yards of running towards the D passed to George on the left side of the D.

George was forced away from the goal by some excellent defending, however, he wasn’t finished.

With a swipe of his stick, George crashed the ball with his reverse stick past the keeper into the top corner of the goal.

Further goals by Jacob,* Tommy,* and Stourport's player of the match Dan*, who as well as scoring in the second half did some terrific link-up play between midfield and the forwards.

The Men's 5th XI came away from their visit to Bridgnorth 5th's with a 5-1 victory in the Midland South West 9 Division.

Stourport was 2-0 ahead at the break through a five-minute goal by David Henderson and a twentieth-minute Mark Darch strike.

In what was a solid team performance by the 5th's Kasim Abbas added a brace with goals in the fortieth minute and in the forty-fifth minute in what was an outstanding team goal.

Bridgnorth did create chances and managed to score one against a solid Stourport defence, which saw Ben Browne play some outstanding defensive work.

The men's 6th XI remains joint leaders in the Midlands Men's Division 10 South West league after they beat their visitors, third-placed Old Silhillians 5th XI, 4-3 in this enthralling tussle.

Stourport was in total control by the break with the first of his hat trick by their man of the match, Allan Moss, and another by Frank Colwell.

Old Sills came back in the second half to draw the scores level, only for Moss to add two more goals from short corner strikes before the final whistle. The game also marked the debuts of Ethan* and John Tidmarsh.

The ladies' 1st XI fought out a 1-1 draw at home against their visitors Sutton Coalfield 1st XI in the Vitality Women’s National League, Division One North. Stourport began the match strongly winning three corners in the first half, with the ball narrowly missing the goal on each occasion, leaving the half-time break at 0-0.

After the break, Stourport were in control and in the third quarter, won another corner which time was converted when Hannah Johnson played the ball across the goal and deflected by Bryony's * stick.

Sutton responded fiercely after the game restarted breaking away and winning a corner in Stourport's defensive 'D', which they successfully converted to make 1-1.

Both Stourport and Sutton defend well putting their bodies on the line to ensure a share of the points. Stourport's player of the match was Laura Price for her amazing effort and solid defence, in what was a tough but great match for both sides.

Despite a shaky start in the Midlands Division 1, away to Leek, the ladies' 2nd XI came away with a 2-0 victory.

The ladies soon got into their rhythm, despite that shaky start, winning several penalty corners. However, the visitors had to wait for any gain from the corners with it being third time lucky for Captain Amy Miller who converted from the top of the D, to make it 1-0.

Leek came back and had an opportunity to equalise just as the half-time whistle went, but Stourport's defence stood firm and the visitors remained ahead at the break. Stourport began the second half stronger and continued to create opportunities which led to Stourport's second when across from the right which saw Vicky* positioned perfectly and the slightest of touches, saw the ball go past the keeper and inside the post to double Stourport's lead.

Leek didn't give up putting Stourport under pressure and in the final two minutes had their final chance to get a consolation goal when they were awarded a penalty corner but Stourport's defenders were too strong and cleared the danger.

The ladies 3rd XI recorded their first win of the season in the Midlands Division 3 South West when they beat their visitors Barford Tigers 1sr XI.

Barford attacked from the outset but Stourport stood firm and weathered the storm, before gradually gaining a foothold in the match.

Barford still pushed forward but it was the home side that took the lead through Lora Miller-Symonds, the goal saw Barford again push forward but at the break, it was still Stourport that had the lead.

The second half was a more open affair with both sides creating chances as the play swung from end to end, but it was Stourport that capitalized on their attacks as Charlotte* struck to make it 2-0. Barford kept pushing but they weren't able to break down the Stourport defence.
