COOKLEY CC continued their excellent form with an impressive 97-run victory over leaders Worcester Dominies in the County League Division Three.
Having been asked to bat first at Lea Lane, Cookley made 247-7 from their allotted 50 overs, with Paul Harris the mainstay of the innings with a classy knock of 89.
Mark Bennett (55) and in-form Steve Hawkes (48) ensured Cookley made a competitive total.
The leaders never really got a grip with the run chase and were dismissed for only 150, as Scott Rollings picked up another three wickets for the hosts.
The second team could only manage a losing draw at Worcester Dominies.
After Worcester made 257-5, Cookley closed on 214-8, despite Luke Groves (70) and Ian Benbow (47) getting amongst the runs.
On Sunday, the second team lost heavily to Belbroughton. Their opponents made 282-4, while Cookley were bowled out for 67.
