HARRIERS hopeful Aaron Farrell is hoping his impressive pre-season displays have been enough to earn him a contract at the club.

The forward produced his best display of the summer when he capped a fine performance with Harriers' second goal in the 3-2 win over Hereford on Tuesday night.

That took his tally to five goals during friendlies for the former Sutton Coldfield hitman.

Farrell is determined to win a deal at the club which he he started out as a junior.

He said: "I've still got a long way to because I've been out since Christmas with an ankle injury.

"I'm just trying to get back into the swing of things. Obviously I scored five goals so far so hopefully I can keep doing that.

"To play on a nice pitch and have people around you who are helping you play to the best of your ability is great.

"I played here as a youth before and it's good to be back.

"I've had a word with the manager and he just wants to make sure that I am capable of playing at this level and I am confident that I can score goals at it, hopefully he can see that.

"Hopefully I'll be here. I like the club, I like the people and I think I can help them do well. All I need is the manager to give me a chance."
