GOALKEEPER Dean Coleman believes Harriers are capable of moving up the Blue Square Premier table - if they can cut out the errors which cost them victory at Histon.

Harriers looked like sealing a hard-fought win at the Glass World Stadium after captain Chris McPhee had fired them into a first half lead.

But with five minutes of normal time left, strike Craig Hammond pounced on an mix-up between Coleman and Martin Riley to bag a leveller for the home side.

"We had the game under wraps, it was just a silly mistake that cost us the win," commented the keeper.

"It's part and parcel of the game, he's just got confused between where the player is and trying to head the ball back.

"You get mistakes in football, it's just unfortunate we've dropped two points.

"It's a massive disappointment when you're winning 1-0 with five minutes to go.

"We were looking solid at the back and were keeping the ball in midfield. We've just to keep plodding on, cut out the errors and turn all these draws and losses into wins."

Apart from the late leveller, Harriers had produced a professional performance, where they had absorbed Histon's pressure comfortably.

Manager Mark Yates believes that his back four and goalkeeper need to work on their communication skills.

He said: "I thought my defenders dealt with everything all game. Histon had pressure, because that's what they do.

"We lost the ball near their area and one long hopeful ball later and a mix-up between my centrehalf and keeper the ball's in the back of the net.

"That's disappointing, we need to work on our communication. Dean Coleman was superb, he commanded his area, but ultimately a mix-up has cost us two points.

"We had a couple of chances we didn't take and baring their goal I thought it was a good away performance."
