MIDFIELDER Dean Bennett believes the visit of runaway Blue Square Premier leaders Oxford will get the best out of Harriers tomorrow (3pm kick-off).

Aggborough is bracing itself for a tough clash against Chris Wilder's impressive outfit, which has only lost once this season.

But while Harriers have been inconsistent so far this campaign, Bennett is encouraged by the fine performances against the likes of Mansfield, Luton and AFC Wimbledon.

He said: "They're a good team and we know it's going to be a difficult game but I think if we play on the front foot we've got a good chance.

"That's the frustrating thing when we do play the good teams we seem to do alright but we don't get the points against lesser teams.

"We've had two weeks without a game and when you've lost a couple of matches you want the next one to come as quickly as possible."

Going into Saturday's clash, Harriers are ninth in the table and five points off Luton, who currently occupy the final play-off spot.

But Bennett believes that Harriers' young squad are still aiming to earn promotion to the Football League.

"We don't want to finish tenth in the league, we want to achieve something," he said.

"Oxford are pulling away with the league but we're looking to get into the play-offs.

"We have such a small squad but we do need competition and people pushing each other for places."
