STRIKER Damian Spencer is hoping to impress during his loan period and extend his stay at Harriers.

The big hitman, who signed for a month from Kettering, also gave his thoughts on Harriers' 2-0 loss at Stevenage Borough.

The hitman also feels he's close to opening account for the Aggborough outfit after coming the closest for Harriers at the Lamex Stadium at the weekend.

He said: "I think my first goal is coming. My first few games I didn't really have a shot but I felt good against Stevenage and hopefully the next game it will come for me.

"I just got to get use to the way the lads play, Harriers like to pass the ball, while Kettering be more direct.

"I can play off a big man like Robbie [Matthews] or with a guy like Ryan [Charles] so I don't mind either way.

"Staying is a possibility if I do do well. I knew my time at Kettering was up when I was told I was fourth choice striker, so I had the opportunity to come to Harriers and took it - I just wanted to play football.

"There's a great bunch of lads here and I also knew the manager from my time at Cheltenham and there's a few lads from there as well, so I've settled in quite nicely.
