A PAIR of skiing siblings from Stourport have been winning medals at national and international tournaments.

Ashley and Nathan Breese have savoured a fine winter on the ski slopes.

Between them they have clinched six medals in a fine season.

In the English Championships in Bormio, Italy, 11-year-old Nathan won the under-12s age group and then topped that by winning the equivalent at the British Championships.

Older brother Ashley, 14, came second in the giant slalom and third in the slalom.

However, he did suffer a setback at the British Championships, when the Stourport High School pupil took a tumble and could not compete.

But he bounced back by winning his events at the British and English Indoor championships at the Manchester Ski Centre.

Ashley also came second in an international tournament in Cour Chavelle in France.

This will be the final year he is eligible for the British Children’s ski team and he will be hoping to move up to the youth team section.

Meanwhile, Nathan, who attends Hartlebury Primary School, is set to make the step up to the Children’s team in 2011 Mother Cheryl Breese said: “It’s been another really good season for both the boys.”
