CASH strapped Harriers have escaped a winding up order at London's High Court.

A judge at London’s High Court dismissed a winding up petition brought against the club by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, on request by HMRC's counsel Matthew Smith.

It means the club will not have to be handed over to an official receiver, who would have sold off the Harriers' assets.

Chairman Dave Reynolds revealed after he took over in October the club had been in danger of being issued with a winding up order because of money owed to HMRC.
