A well-established girls and ladies football club from the district boasts a new name after deciding to go it alone.
Wyre Forest Phoenix are hoping their hard work will pay off after breaking away from their former club Ferndale FC at the end of last season.
After three months of intensive hard work by volunteers and players alike the club boasts juniors teams from under-10s to under-17s as well as a ladies side and mini-kickers in local leagues.
The junior section puts an onus on developing younger players and tries to find a balance between winning and enjoyment.
The club is also recognised as a focus club for female development by Worcestershire FA.
