Bromsgrove Rovers 1
Harriers 3
Worcestershire Senior Cup

A YOUTHFUL Harriers side ensured that last season’s losing finalists progressed into the semi-finals of the Worcestershire Senior Cup by seeing off a determined Bromsgrove Rovers team on Tuesday night.

Away fans had a chance to see fringe squad players Liam Dolman, Jasbir Singh, Aaron Farrell, Tom Sharpe and Zac Costello and Kyle Hadley in action.

There were also good work outs for youth team rookies Chris Seeking, Robert Thompson-Brown and Joe Hull, who were handed first team debuts against a full strength Rovers side.

The embattled hosts, who are in administration, took the lead in the 21st minute when Luke Findley’s deflected shot looped into the back of the net.

Farrell showed good determination to level the scores two minutes later but the game remained a tight affair until the stroke of half-time, when Dolman hammered Harriers into the lead with a 40-yard effort.

Harriers’ opponents from the Southern League almost scored but a fine challenge from Sharpe denied Danny Campbell.

Substitute Mattt Grainger completed the scoring, as Harriers ended the game as the stronger side.
