WARRIORS.

5 Pennell – ran hard but was often smothered by Quins’ defence and cost his side a try when his pass to Fatialofa in space went forward.

7 Heem – dotted down in the corner and was lively throughout, clattering forward on multiple occasions, often breaking tackles as well. It’s hard to knock his tireless display.

5 Venter – involved in two Worcester tries but his collision with Heem opened up space for Ibitoye to score and was unable to stop Brown nipping around the blindside to grab another.

7 Mills - came alive in the second half as his neat pass to Lawrence led to Heaney’s try and his clever crossfield kick launched the move that Howe finished off late on.

6 Adams – clocked up more metres than any other Worcester player and got his reward with a try but would have been disappointed to see Lang step inside him to score.

5 Weir – an off-day for the fly-half who struggled to get Warriors’ back-line going in the opening period as his passing lacked accuracy at times and was replaced on 62 minutes.

4 Hougaard – his two mistakes in quick succession in the first 50 seconds resulted in Marchant scoring and made errors in the lead-up to Quins’ next two tries in a sorry 40-minute showing.

6 Black – apart from one first-half scrum the prop was part of a faultless set-piece which gave Worcester a good platform to work from and helped shove Singleton over the line.

6 Singleton – was spot on with his lineout throws and touched down from a catch and drive but his side could have notched another score had he hooked the ball in the final scrum of the first half.

6 Schonert – returning from injury the prop was a welcome addition to Warriors’ front row as he packed down well before making way for Milasinovich who also made an impression.

5 Bresler – avoided a sin-binning when his stray boot caught Care when chasing Weir’s grubber kick but was unable to make much of an impact in the loose.

6 Fatialofa – was guilty of having lapses in concentration as he headed the ball instead of caught Venter’s pass but managed the lineout brilliantly and carried well.

6 Mama – appeared to be struggling with cramp towards the end as he put in a big defensive shift and was stopped just short of getting on the scoresheet but made mistakes too.

7 LEWIS – really stood up to the challenge and helped to drag his side back into the contest as he carried with intent and assisted for Adams’ score. My man of the match.

5 van Velze – almost immediately after Heem went over the number eight gave away a silly penalty and paid the price for it as Care scored Quins’ fifth try.
